President's Address
Stella (Nhu) NGUYEN
Hello! I am Stella (Nhu) Nguyen, a junior from SSIS. It was 2013 when I set foot into my first official MUN conference as a delegate. I was a scared, figuratively-not-physically little middle schooler who joined the club believing that it would look good on her college applications. As with many other participants, I have grown to love MUN: the adrenaline kick before a speech, the satisfaction of a jaw-dropping POI, and - of course - the people. Out of the 4 years in my MUN career, I have attended 11 conferences - 5 of which I have chaired for (including this conference), and 1 of which I have served as a DSG for.
Outside the MUN world, I look at memes all day, er'day. During my free time, I enjoy watching ‘Friends’ reruns and Korean dramas. If I were to pick a fictional character that most resembles me, I would say that it is Modern Family’s Cameron Tucker, a flamboyant gay man and all-around cutie patootie. I would consider myself a pretty good athlete; the sports I excel at are running away from responsibilities, jumping to conclusions, and basketball (maybe).
For SAIMUN 17, I am especially excited to meet new delegates and (hopefully) see some familiar faces. I am absolutely ecstatic and honoured to formally introduce myself as your head chair for GA4 at this year's conference!
