President's Address
Chae Yeon JOO
Hi guys, my name is Chae Yeon Joo. I’m currently a junior at Renaissance (RISS) and I am greatly honoured to be serving all of you as the head president of ECOSOC this year. I have been an MUN-er since 2013 - for me personally, it was a pretty wild ride and I know some of you delegates still may not be as comfortable as other experienced delegates would be- but don’t worry; I've been there, my fellow deputy chairs have all been there so we can, perhaps, wholeheartedly help you overcome whatever might be impeding you. Remember, no one starts to be perfect. It’s all about the right guidance, practise and experience that makes you the better person later on. I promise all of you delegates that Samuel, Jade (our deputy chairs) and myself will serve you to the utmost of our ability and we sincerely hope we can make your 2017’s SAIMUN conference one of the best you would experience throughout your career. It is, for a fact, going to be a relatively short conference, when compared to the usual ones, but as it is shorter, we as chairs expect more effort, enthusiasm and passion
from all of you in order to help us make your debate as flawless as we can.
Oh and please don’t judge me solely by my demeanor because I do hear, sporadically, that I appear enraged or nerve-racking but please don’t get me wrong - I'M AMIABLE. I promise I'll try my best to be as pleasant as I can be seen as and I also promise that I will open up to anyone anytime. I would be more than willing to become so much closer to every one of you, so please don’t worry, speak up and approach me, as I will be doing so too.
Well, I guess that’s enough of me babbling on - see you all soon in March!
